It's no secret the humanity has dominated the globe. We have become the apex predators and gotten rid of anything that could stand in our way. We have dominated every corner of the earth and take up resources faster than they can be produced. This terrible rate of destruction and usage of minerals, wood and other materials has resulted in the necessity of the expansion of U.S. harvesting. This expansion eventually led the U.S. and other world powers to the fertile mountains of the Andes. A huge region overflowing with natural resources, with surrounding governments willing to soak up all the compensation that will come with it.
Succession is the replacement of something the was held previously after a specific turn of events, such as a presidential election, the replacement of a government or even the replacement of weaker wildlife so that new, stronger, species can take up home in the environment. At the rate of depopulation and domestication, the Andes mountains range could be a very different place from now in the next several decades. Natural selection or the utmost desire for a better life with little concern for the next generation. Time will tell.
